Posing Dos and Don'ts
 
DO: Use magazines for inspiration when learning to pose.
 
DON'T: Simply copy magazine poses for all your shoots. Originality is also important.
 
DO: Refer to the right kind of publications that reflect the type of modeling you do (fashion magazines for fashion/runway poses: Elle, W, Glamour, Vogue. Catalogs for commercial/print poses: Macy's, Nordstroms, Target, JC Penny's. Teen publications: Teen Vogue, Limited Too, Teen People).
 
DON'T: Feel like you need to master every single pose you've ever seen.
 
DO: Practice posing in front of a mirror to be comfortable with your body and learn what feels natural.
 
DON'T: Think that practicing in front of a mirror is lame, amateurish or unnecessary. Doing this simple exercise can help you greatly.
 
DO: Learn how to experiment. Even if you think the pose won't look good, try it out anyway and find out for yourself.
 
DON'T: Be rigid and uncomfortable--it will show on camera.
 
DO: Learn how to be completely at home in front of the camera.
 
DON'T: Fake it (unless you're REALLY good).
 
DO: Practice facial expressions in front of the mirror in addition to posing your body.
 
DON'T: Only learn the Victoria's Secret pout--there is more to modeling than that tired old expression.
 
DO: Pay attention to your hands, fingers, feet and toes when posing. Doing weird stuff with them can ruin an otherwise great pose.
 
DON'T: Tilt your head too much to the side (it can make you look like your neck is broken or catch an unpleasant "up your nose" shot).
 
DO: Learn how to pose in a studio as well as outdoors.
 
DON'T: Only learn how to pose standing up. It is important to know how to pose while sitting down, crouching, runnning, jumping, walking, lying down, etc.
 
DO: Practice posing with another model or looking at magazines to get inspiration for how to interact with one or more models.
 
DON'T: Assume you will never be asked to model with another person.
 
DO: Learn how to interact and pose with a model of the opposite sex.
 
DON'T: Go overboard with posing or feel you need to do a completely different pose every time the camera takes a picture. Many times simple changes to existing poses is more than enough.
 
DO: Learn how to extend your neck when appropriate to prevent it from looking short and stumpy. Also learn how to create nice lines using your arms and legs.
 
DON'T: Do poses that make you look short, stubby, or appear that you're missing limbs. Be aware of your appendages when you do a pose that involves being seated or call for you to crouch.
 
DO: Work with your photographer to create the appropriate poses for each modeling gig.
 
DON'T: Expect the photographer to tell you how to pose or direct you for every single shot. It is up to you to create that flow. The photographer will assist you when needed but don't expect them to show you how to do your job.
 
DO: Learn how to do and hold difficult poses. With practice you'll be able to pose in an unnatural way but make it come across as natural in front of the camera.
 
DON'T: Do stupid Myspace poses or poses that you'd do if you and your friends were clowning around with a camera. If you're going to be a model then you'll have to pose like one (but that doesn't mean you can't have fun).
 
DO: Have fun with your poses. Don't be afraid to laugh, smile, or act goofy (within reason and when appropriate) in front of the camera.
 
DON'T: Think you have it all figured out. When it comes to posing, chances are you're going to have to practice.

Hello girls! so if you live somewhere in the north eat your halloween was probably cancled. if you live in NJ it's on monday so it's going to be extra cold!
 
KATTNISS COSTUME ;;
 
what you need.
*lightweigh hooded jacket
*mocking jay pin or just any gold pin
*hair band
*black utility belt
*black or dark tan cargo pants
*black boots
*black top (long sleeve if you want to be warm)
*bow (optional)
 
Steps.
1. Put your clothes on. Put your your top and pants on. Put your jackect on (make sure it's opean and not zipped up). Put your pants and shoes on.
3. Put the utility belt over top your jacket and kinda pull the bottom park of your jackt to the middle.
4. Put on the assceries. Put on your goldpin on the top of your jacket.
5. Make your hair into a one sided braid, for makeup just make it natural. now grab your bow and go !
 

WALDO ;;
 
what you need.
*long sleeve red and white striped shirt
*blue jeans (perfferably light blue jeans)
*black sneakers (perfaerablly vans or convernse or something like that)
*all white santa clause hat
*red dye
*glasses
 
steps.
1. Put on your clothes. Your top, jeans, and shoes and socks :)
2. Make your hat. since it's practiclly impossible to get a hat like his unless you buy one you need to make one. Get your red dye and put it into a bowl. Put the bottom part of hat into the red dye and top part into the dye. Let it dry, and put it on when it's done.
3. Put your fake glasses on and go find some trick-or-treating!
 
WITCH ;;
 
what you need.
*long plain black dress
*witch hat
*purple lipstick
*dark purple or blue eyeshadow
*grey blush
 
steps.
1. Put on your long black dress. If you think it's too plain you can custmize it by cutting it or dyeing, what ever you like but make sure it's long to keep you warm. (tip: Put black legging underneath for extra warmth :)
2. Makeup. Put on your dark eyeshadow and your purple litstick. Put your grey blush all over your face.
3. Put on your witch hat and go (tip: you can do more with this costume like have jewelry and have more makeup on but it's completly your choice)
 
MIME.
 
what you need.
*white makeup (like a lot)
*black makeup (like kinda a lot)
*grey makeup (like a lot) haha :)
*black and white long sleeved black shirt
*black or white suspenders
*black pants
*black shoes
*black beanie
 
steps.
1. Put on your clothes. your shirt. your pants. your shoes. and then hook your suspender to your pants and put them around your shoulder (tip: you can use a white,black,or black and white, or checkerd suspender)
2. Put on your makeup. Fill your face with white makeup in till it's purely white. Put your black makeup on your lips, eyesbrows, and around your eyes. finally, put the grey makeup on our neck and eyes :)
3. Put on your white gloves and your hat and go get some candyyyyy@Yyyudgfdgjh!! :)\
 
ZOMBIE FLO ;;
 
what you need.
*blue headband
*LIGHT gey makeup
*fake blood
*red lipstick
*apron
*white polo
*blue fabric paint
*tape
*paper
*blue marker
*orange marker
*white pants
*white shoes
*black marker
 
steps.
1. Customize your outfit. Take your apron and your fabric paint and write "PROGRESSIVE" on the center front of the apron. For your name i.d cut paper into a i.d shape and draw orange on he top into the middle. and do the same with the blue. keep a little bit space between the blue and the orange. At the bottom of the name tag (or i.d) write "FLO" with your black marker
2. Put on your clothes. Your polo. pants. shoes. and apron. take the i.d name tag to your apron on the top corner of it.
3. Makeup. Put your light grey makeup all over your face. Put your red lipstick on. and splatter fake blood all over your self! (tip: ketchup+water= perfect fake blood). you can choose where your want to blood wether on your face or your apron or both! it's all up to you :)))))
 
IPOD ;;
 
what you need.
*a box big enough to fit your body
*black paint
*green paint
*light blue paint
*silver paint or light grey paint
*something to cut the card board with
*white paint
*other paint
 
steps.
1. paint the etire box white you may need to put a second coat on but make sure it's pure white
2. On the front paint a box on the top. make sure it's up to scale.
3. On the top on the box you painted on your box (boxception?) paint a light blue arrow pointing toward the middle of the box on in the corner of the box on the box.
4. Next to the arrow write "now playing" in marker or paint your choice.
5. Next to the "now playing" paint or draw in light green a charger thing (tip: if your want you can make it red so it will look like it's on low battery)
6. Underneith the top of the box on the box paint or draw another box! with an alubum cover (make sure it's easy) the box should be on the side. Next to the album cover drawing write the song with black marker or paint, then put the artist under that, then put the album name underneath that. It should be from top to bottom on the album cover box.
7. Paint or draw in black a long rectangular with ligh blue filling it up inside.
9. Under the rectangle write a time (like 2:36, 1:30. 0.53, etc) and arcross write another time but with a "-" in front of it. (tip: make sure the times are not bigger than the lengh of the song"

Hey girls! So we all want .p.e.r.f.e.c.t. nails but don't feel like paying the price of nail salons, the best solution for this situation is to give yourself a manicure! :)
 
WHAT YOU NEED:
 
* Nail pollish
* Top coat nail pollish
* Base coat nail pollish
* Lotion
* Warm water
* Soap
* A bowl
 

STEPS:
 
Step 1. Remove any old nail polish with nail pollish remover.
Step 2. Cut and File your nails! Use nail clippers to trim your nails (tip: don't cut them too short). Then , using a nail filer, file you nails!
Step 3. Buff your nails using a white block nail buffer. Don't buff too much remember you are trimming your nails. Buff intill your nails are smooth.
Step 4. Soak your nails. Fill a bowl of warm (not hot) water and a few drops of soap. Soak your hand for only a few minutes. Soaking youre nails will clean out all the dirt in your nails.
Step 5. Apply lotion to your nails. Rub lotion to your cuticles and the sides of your nails. *If you realy want nice nails you icles cream on your cuticles instead of lotion*
Step 6. Prepare your nails for the nail pollish. *For an eaier time putting on the nail pollish take a Q-tip dipped in nail polish remover and quickly wipe your're nails to remove the lotion* Put nail pollish base on your nails.
Step 7. Paint your nails. Pick a color you really like and paint your nails. Before you paint your nails make sure you shake the nail pollish bottle.
Step 8. Finish. Put a top coat nail pollish on your nails when your nails are completly dry. Before you do anything wait intill your nails are dry. (tip: if you are putting a design on your nails put a top coat on after every detail you make)
